Full Body Workout

A seven-minute full body tabata workout for intermediate and advanced fitness enthusiasts — and how beginners and professionals can adapt it.

Here is a quick full body tabata workout for intermediate and advanced level fitness enthusiasts. Beginners can tweak this workout — especially tricep dips, pushups and step ups — or adjust it as per your convenience. Professionals can use this sequence as a warmup session.

Sequence of the 7 minute tabata workout is as follows:

  1. Jumping jacks
  2. Wall sits
  3. Push-ups
  4. Abdominal crunches
  5. Step ups onto a chair
  6. Squats
  7. Tricep dips on a chair
  8. Planks
  9. High knees / running in place
  10. Lunges
  11. Push-ups with rotation
  12. Side plank (left)
  13. Side plank (right)

Work through the sequence in order. If any movement causes pain rather than effort, stop and ask an instructor — particularly the tricep dips and the planks, which are the two most commonly done badly.
